Responsible for performing a quality review on all loans and reviewing documentation for compliance, completeness, and accuracy. Input loan data for the transfer of information to Investors and will submit files to the purchasing Investor in a timely manner as per their guidelines. Responsible for corresponding with the Investor, reviewing, and clearing post-closing conditions in accordance with company and investor policies and requirements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Time: Description:
10% Responsible for the receipt, quality review, electronic stacking and scanning of files to investor specifications.
10% Daily reconciliation of investor exception reports. Reviewing deficiency conditions and determining what documentation will be required to clear the condition. Obtains and uploads conditions to investor website for loan purchase.
10% Locating the missing documentation, and/or determining the appropriate party (borrower, Client Coordinator, Closer, Underwriter, Title Agent Employee, Builder Employee, Insurance Agent, etc.) and contacting them to obtain the missing or corrected documentation.
10% Communicating with investors to clarify information required and/or obtain waiver of erroneous conditions.
10% Update notes daily in the Loan Origination System based on Investor suspense reports.
10% Reviews and obtains purchase advice for the accounting department.
10% Prioritize workload based on rate lock expiration and delivery deadlines and communicate any problems requiring management intervention to avoid monetary penalties.
10% Transfer MERS and review daily MERS report.
10% FHA / VA / USDA get file insured with appropriate agency.
10% Perform various additional tasks as assigned by Management that may not be specifically listed in this position description.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma with 2 years Mortgage Post Closing, Processing, Underwriting, or Closing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong time management skills, including ability to accurately prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Encompass preferred.
