Floor Inspector

Tasks:
- Performs inspections per inspection sheet which is created from the control plans.
- Competent in the use of inspection equipment including calipers, mics, height gages, runout gage, air gages and profilometer.
- Identifies nonconforming parts and communicates to production supervisor. Completes all necessary documentation.
- Resolve the operator’s concerns on questionable parts.
- Complete first piece inspections.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Interpretation of blueprints.
- Familiar with inspection techniques and bench gage equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, drop gages, optical comparators, etc.
- Familiar with use and application of SPC charts
- Minimum of 1 years experience in quality capacity.
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a machining environment
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
- Physical strength to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently.
- Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
