Respiratory Therapist/Cardiopulmonary/Occasional Occasional • Bonner General Health Type: Registered Respiratory Therapist Department: Cardiopulmonary Status: Occasional Shift: Variable Summary of Position: Implements and controls the administration of all Cardiopulmonary patient services in accordance with the policies of the Hospital and the directives of the Medical Staff. Responsibilities: Responsible for administration of EKG’s, ABG’s, therapeutic gases, oxygen, aerosol therapy, diagnostic testing, and all aspects of continuous ventilation Responsible for the training, inservices, and education of nursing for respiratory care procedures as directed Maintains a record of treatment and is involved with related billing procedures Maintains and stores equipment and gases in accordance with State and hospital regulations Maintains an active role in Hospital committees as assigned Keeps current regarding advances in respiratory care and management relative to job function Maintains strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information (HIPAA), confidential staff and hospital business Responsible for establishing and maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships with all staff members Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy. Experience: Minimum one year as a Respiratory Therapist preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current Idaho License Respiratory Therapist; RRT; Current CPR, ACLS and NRP required; PALS preferred.
