Position Summary

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across our managed care and bill review operations. This role requires an in-depth understanding of healthcare data within the workers' compensation sector and experience in building analytical solutions that align with the company's goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Methodology Development: Conduct in-depth analysis of claims, billing, and patient outcome data, developing robust analytical methodologies to provide insights and drive informed business decisions.
  • Process Optimization & Automation: Design and implement automated workflows that replace manual processes, enhancing efficiency and ensuring consistency in analytical approaches.
  • Data Quality & Modeling: Work with diverse data sources, focusing on evaluating data quality, defining data models, and ensuring the integrity of data used in analyses.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product and IT teams to translate analytical insights into data-driven products, providing guidance on data requirements and product design.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clinical, billing, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on data methodologies, metrics, and insights that support business objectives.
  • Documentation & Training: Document analytical methodologies, process improvements, and best practices, providing training and knowledge sharing to ensure analytical consistency and scalability.
Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel. Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, with strong preference for Python and its associated numerical libraries (pandas, numpy, etc.)
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical mindset with experience in methodology development, trend analysis, and data quality assessment.
  • Domain Knowledge: Prior experience with bill review in the workers' compensation industry, with a strong understanding of managed care and medical billing.
  • Data Quality & Modeling Expertise: Experience working with varied data sources, ensuring data quality, and defining data models to support analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong preference for candidates with bill review experience in managed care, healthcare billing, or workers' compensation.
