Employment-Housing Specialist

The Employment-Housing Specialist works with individuals that have a diagnosed mental illness who are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of becoming homeless, and who may be unemployed, underemployed, or at risk of becoming unemployed. The Employment-Housing Specialist teaches a variety of skills to individuals that help them obtain and maintain affordable housing and employment. The Employment-Housing Specialist helps individuals develop and follow person-centered housing and recovery plans that promote housing stability and independent living, employment, wellness and recovery from mental illness. The Employment-Housing Specialist is supported by professional staff including case managers, peer specialists, nurses, psychiatrists and advanced nurse practitioners. Supported Employment and Supportive Housing training is provided for the chosen applicant. The work schedule is flexible, to accommodate the people being served, and services are provided face-to-face in the community or in-clinic, or by tele-video, or by telephone according to individuals preferences and needs. The Employment-Housing Specialist works from home, with use of clinic space for services as needed and available. Location: Williamson County Salary: $21.46 - $30.71/hr Applicable Differentials: Up to $4.00/hour - tenure with BTCS $.75/hour - Bilingual $1.00/hour - Masters Degree in Human Services $1.00/hour - Advanced Licensure $.50/hour - LCDC licensure Up to $2.00/hour - previous experience in a similar role with a community center $200 Service Delivery Incentive Why join our team? Flexible Spending Accounts: Optional pre-tax contributions for medical reimbursement and dependent care plans. Retirement Plans: 401A: Through this governmental plan, we offer a 7% match to employee contributions. 457/403(b): Through these governmental plans, employees may contribute pre-tax earnings for retirement. Employees may participate on the first day of employment. Sponsored Insurance: Life Insurance: Through Dearborn National, we offer basic life insurance of $5,000. Optional supplemental coverage, as well as spouse and eligible dependent policies, are available to purchase. Long Term Disability/ Accident/ Critical Illness Insurance: Through Dearborn National we offer optional insurance coverages at a competitive rate.
