Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care aligned with departmental needs and professional standards. In this dynamic position, you will perform diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitor both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway integrity, while documenting the necessary information.
  • Administering respiratory therapies, such as oxygen and aerosol medications, and implementing chest physiotherapy as needed.
  • Assisting with artificial airway placements and managing mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitoring therapeutic responses and notifying medical providers to take necessary actions for patient safety.
  • Facilitating the safe transport of patients who are on ventilators.
  • Responding to emergencies to ensure airway integrity and providing resuscitation care when required.
Qualifications:
  • Certification as a State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Must hold either Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT), or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
