Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to create customer-facing mobile applications that deliver a superior user experience and support business objectives. The role involves participating in all phases of application development, from design to production, using Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications that provide exceptional experiences to millions of customers.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners to implement customer-focused features.

• Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code for cross-team utilization.

• Take ownership of code from conception through to production.

• Work with customer support and product owners to iterate on features and resolve reported issues.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

• 5+ years of Android development experience with a strong understanding of API design, best practices, and UX guidelines.

• Proficiency in:

• Android Native App Development

• Kotlin and Java programming

• Jetpack Compose

• Android Studio, Gradle, and Git for build/deployment

• Familiarity with DevOps tools: Slack, Gradle, GitHub Actions.

• Solid knowledge of multi-threading and REST-based JSON APIs.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to convey solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile (SCRUM) teams.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial software development.

• History of publishing native mobile apps.

• Knowledge of UI testing and continuous integration practices.

Education: Bachelors Degree
