EFC International is seeking a skilled RFQ Desk Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities with cross-functional teams to respond to Request for Quotations ("RFQs") efficiently. You will ensure that responses are accomplished within prescribed time frames by personally performing duties or delegating tasks to team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review RFQs to determine time frames, procedures for responding, and allocation of available resources.
  • Coordinate resources to provide 'cost/sell estimates' to the sales team.
  • Analyze customer specifications and requirements, coordinating input from other departments to develop bids.
  • Develop cost estimates for new bids and contract revisions utilizing engineering data, customer specifications, and related information.
  • Act as the central point of contact on assigned proposals, collaborating with the team on activities related to each RFQ.
  • Review and modify schedules or plans as required based on status reports.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and program management to complete the costing process.
  • Prepare RFQ reports for management, clients, or others.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with sales and procurement team members.
  • Coordinate activities with vendors and suppliers, maintaining relationships.
  • Interface with customers to obtain necessary information required for the RFQ process.
  • Support sales with pricing recommendations on quotes.
  • Participate in high-level management discussions as related to new products, processes, or services.
  • Facilitate multi-disciplined groups in brainstorming and developing solutions to key aspects of proposals.
  • Maintain, augment, and improve the library of reusable components, templates, and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Four to ten years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
  • Strong reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and Contact Management systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with occasional duties outside of the office setting.
  • Minimal to no travel required.
