WHAT YOU WILL DO

The North America RGM Pricing & Portfolio Manager, as part of the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) department, is responsible for collaborating with marketing, finance, sales, and operations colleagues to bring insights from data to create portfolio and pricing strategies which drive value growth for Perfetti van Melle and our Customers. This role will be accountable to optimize the price pack architecture of the full product portfolio, leverage understanding of consumer occasions and price ladders to identify opportunities to improve consumer willingness to pay while ensuring well-considered new product launch price points. Additionally, the role is expected to recommend the go-to-market price strategy, monitor progress toward established goals, and find solutions for areas of identified improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop management reporting on volume, price/mix, and price waterfalls for customers and channels, advancing relevant, informative, and user-friendly insights to inform strategic decision making with key business stakeholders.
  • Develop a multi-year strategic pricing plan sequencing changes in the list price, weight-outs, and pack renovations while introducing performance-based pricing, price pack architecture, and channel/customer portfolio differentiation.
  • Scope, develop, maintain, and advise on price pack architecture connected to consumer occasions.
  • Quantify opportunities using predictive demand elasticities and value pool scenario modeling, including understanding of competitive activity and response.
  • Develop price guidelines by category and channel, monitor implementation, and evaluate performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Coach and develop direct report, Sr. Pricing Analyst.
  • Support consumer research to understand consumer needs and occasions to support pricing analysis.
  • Build a continuous improvement culture by proactively cultivating processes and tools to create new insights or reduce effort; progress may come in steps rather than leaps
  • Engage cross-functionally to develop richer understandings of the go-to-market strategies and financial impact while understanding manufacturing capabilities and implication.
  • Identify and relate industry trends and best practices that can help propel the business forward.
  • Develop strong acumen in PVMs business processes, product portfolio, and become a business success ambassador.
