FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt

Position Summary

RSekure is seeking a full performance Systems/Network Engineer to support our customer in the creation of a prototype database with a focus on the front-end user interface. The Engineer would be responsible for providing recommendations and support in the creation and maintenance of the database, including a method to display and retrieve data in a user-friendly manner. Duties would include designing wireframes and mock-ups and supporting the build of a UI with scalability in mind. The ideal candidate will have previous front-end development experience that can be leveraged to assist the customer in the development lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of a website and user interface
  • Support the build of data display and search capability utilizing web development best practices
  • Work with back-end database engineers to integrate user interface components and configure APIs
  • Assist back-end data engineers with prototype build and troubleshooting
  • Perform search engine optimization, investigate and seek new, innovative ways to improve user functionality
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period
  • Monitor RSekure email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web front-end interface process
  • Experience gathering and translating user needs into system requirements/specifications
  • Demonstrated experience creating user interface wireframes, prototypes, and/or mockups
  • Experience with building database user interface and search capabilities
  • Knowledge of how to build interactive dashboards
  • Strong customer service skills
Stand-out Qualifications
  • Knowledge of how to develop in HTML/CSS, Javascript, and its popular frameworks (Angular, React, and/or Vue)
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, an Engineering specialty, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and/or systems engineering
Certifications, Licenses
  • Relevant technical certifications (CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, INCOSE) are a bonus
Special Requirements
  • TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope polygraph
Work Environment

Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.

Physical Demands

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
