Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Job Description The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for power distribution, low voltage infrastructure design for IT and security systems, lighting design, low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls, calculating loads, fault current, and voltage drop, performing field surveys, and construction phase support. Responsibilities Design power distribution systems, including riser diagrams and panel schedules. Create low voltage infrastructure designs for IT and security systems. Develop lighting designs, including fixture selection, controls, and lighting calculations. Design low-voltage systems such as fire alarms, security, and controls. Calculate electrical loads, fault current, and voltage drop. Conduct field surveys and provide support during the construction phase. Essential Skills Associates or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Design Proficiency in Revit. Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems. Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices. 2-5 years of experience in MEP electrical engineering Work Environment The work environment is within a small to medium-sized firm with approximately 25 employees. The company focuses on MEP for industrial and commercial projects and is expanding into cannabis manufacturing grow houses. The culture is anti-corporate, friendly, and emphasizes work-life balance. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
