Senior Systems Engineer / Medical Device / Fremont, CA

This position is for a start-up Medical Device company located in Fremont, CA and is an on-site position. Successful person must have an experienced background in Systems Engineering, including fluorescence.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee aspects of systems engineering for diagnostic products.
  • Co-ordinate with other departments across the business to ensure successful delivery from concept to production.
  • Develop and document requirements at system/subsystem level.
  • Supervise work for the systems engineering team.
  • Ensure system designs incorporate best practices for reliability and manufacturability.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years professional Engineering experience within Biomedical or Medical Device industries.
  • Must have Biomedical / Life Science instrumentation product experience.
  • Optics / Fluorescence experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Great communication, organization and leadership skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Qualifications:

  • BS or higher in Science or Engineering technical discipline. Optical Engineering preferred.
