Essential Functions Navigators Support and Training:
Collaborate with navigators, providing continuous training with a trauma-informed approach to ensure the team stays current with evolving practices.
Program Partners Engagement:
Work closely with internal and external partners to strategically enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing, requiring ongoing learning and adaptation.
Mental Health Counseling Services Coordination:
Act as a liaison to coordinate mental health counseling services for program participants, necessitating continuous learning to stay informed about available resources and best practices.
Resilience Building Initiatives:
Develop and implement initiatives to build resilience, coping skills, and positive thinking among internal and external stakeholders, incorporating the latest research and trauma-informed practices.
Investigation of Generational Poverty Cycles and Intersectional Traumas:
Investigate and understand generational poverty cycles, recognizing the emotional impact and addressing intersectional traumas within marginalized populations within the Empower UC community.
Career and Educational Coaching:
Collaboratively develop, implement, and assess post-secondary educational pathways and targeted services tailored to address the unique needs of trauma-affected individuals and families.
Program Evaluation and Leadership Participation:
Track and evaluate the effectiveness of resilience-building initiatives and trauma-informed practices. Participate in Empower UC leadership conference calls, meetings, and conferences to contribute insights and advocate for trauma-informed approaches.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Direct job-related experience, including experience in program coordination, career counseling, or working with diverse populations. Proficiency in trauma-informed practices, program coordination, case management, cultural competence, and robust interpersonal and communication skills. Strong commitment to addressing systemic barriers to resilience and fostering a supportive environment within Empower Upper Cumberland.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in trauma-informed training is desired. Additional training in program coordination, case management, workforce development, and/or career counseling preferred. Proficiency in a second language may be advantageous.
