Laboratory Technologist

Laboratory technologists are responsible for receiving, storing, and processing samples that are sent to GPCL for testing. They are also responsible for receiving and properly storing laboratory reagents and supplies used during sample processing, maintaining the laboratory in compliance with all applicable regulations, and performing analyses for some tests. This position requires some weekend work.
Responsibilities
Follow all laboratory SOPs, checklists, and manufacturer manuals.
Maintain compliance with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Accession samples as they are received and storing under proper conditions until processing starts.
Perform inventory, receive and store laboratory supplies in proper conditions according to label instructions and laboratory policies.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and update cleaning and maintenance logs.
Qualifications
***REQUIRED_Minimum 1 year of experience with human samples in a clinical setting_REQUIRED***
Bachelor's or Master's degree in the physical sciences, preferably genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or biomedical engineering.
