Why Powin for your Internship?

The IT Security Intern opportunity, emphasizing the involvement in cutting-edge projects related to energy storage technology and renewable energy sources. The responsibilities will be creating content and documentation, managing work products independently, collaborating with project managers, assisting IT staff in security-related projects, and contributing to compliance initiatives promoting security and privacy practices within the organization.

Job Duties:

  • Create content and documentation for technical and non-technical users
  • Work on projects to promote security and privacy practices and awareness across the organization
  • Manage work products independently and work with project Managers to plan and monitor deliverables
  • Participate in project team meetings and meet deadlines with support of technical leads
  • Participate in compliance initiatives with IT and Powin’s business units
  • Assist IT staff in projects and support activities where security guidance is needed
Qualifications:
  • Currently working towards an IT, Operations and Technology Management or Computer Science degree
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and manage time in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with security audits and processes a plus
  • Familiarity with system, network and/or application security topics and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing, including technical documentation
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and work independently
  • Knowledge of security standards and tools is a plus
  • Experience working in MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel required, and experience in Confluence and Jira is a plus
