POSITION SUMMARY

Southeastern Food Merchandisers is looking to hire Class A CDL Route/Delivery Drivers. We operate on committed route schedules that allow you to be home daily; there is no over-the-road work. Our schedules enable you to depart and return to the same terminal daily. Our fleet is 100% leased and maintained by Penske, and all units are equipped with automatic transmissions.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Drivers are responsible for making on-time deliveries and accurately scanning products inside restaurants on scheduled routes with multiple stops.
  • Perform all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip), including tractor/truck and trailer inspections according to DOT regulations.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
  • Immediately report all safety hazards to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Drives to scheduled location and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Scan all items according to company policy.
  • Unload product from trailer, scan, and transport into designated customer storage area.
  • Perform damage control checks on items.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current, valid, Class A CDL license
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years
  • Must pass a drug screen, and DOT physical
  • Must pass MVR and background check
  • Current Medical Card
