Position: Backend JavaScript Developer 

Location: Odessa, FL - Hybrid Office Schedule - Remote 

Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with the development team to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services, APIs, and microservices using Node.js. 

- Take ownership of the architecture and scalability of backend systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. 

- Build RESTful APIs and implement API integrations to support various frontend applications, mobile apps, and third-party services. 

- Design and implement data models and databases to support the efficient storage and retrieval of application data. 

- Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend components. 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards. 

- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of backend systems to identify and resolve issues promptly. 

- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in backend development and cloud technologies. 

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies. 

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and server-side development using Node.js. 

- Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining APIs and microservices for scalable applications. 

- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling concepts. 

- Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience with API integration. 

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 

- Frontend development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) is a strong plus. 

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues. 

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 

- Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new technologies and tools. 

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
