About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Consumer Technology.  This individual will act in the highest technical capacity as an individual contributor and lead other engineers for the development of complex computer applications and initiatives.  The candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of available technologies and tools, including but not limited to: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, Kafka, PCF/Azure Cloud, and MongoDB.


In this role, you will:

  • Need to have working experience in system development methodology.

  • Ability to utilize a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and existing designs. 

  • Analyzes highly complex business requirements and can write a complex functional system design to meet business requirements. 

  • Lead a team of, and provide direction to, less experienced developers on projects, work with various technology partners and work with Principal Engineers and Architects to understand different technology solutions, provide technology recommendations, implementation, and postproduction support. 

  • Create new documentation for departmental procedures, training, and user guides. 

  • Assures quality, security, business continuation plan and compliance requirements are met and documented for supported area.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5 + years of J2EE experience

  • 2+ years of experience in finance domain with primary focus on payments using debit card, ACH, Zelle, Google pay and Apple pay methods

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as a Technical Lead

  • 10+ years of technical design experience

  • 10+ years of experience with full Software Development Life Cycle using Agile, Iterative and/or Waterfall methodologies.

  • Must be strong in: J2EE, Spring Boot, Micro Services, Angular, MongoDB, KAFKA, Junit, with competencies in: Java Script, SOAP, MQ Series, ECLIPSE, Tomcat Application Server, Unix, Gradle, NOSQL Industry standard Java certification a plus

  • Demonstrate analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to create sizing or work estimates.

  • Experience with database data modeling, utilization of source control tools like GitHub

  • Applications knowledge within financial services or payments including Home Equity Lines and Loans, Personal Loans, Credit Cards, Retail Loans, Business Loans, Automobile, and Educational Loans is highly desired

  • Demonstrated experience within our modern technology stack including Spring Boot, Angular/React, Microservices, Kafka, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, New Relic, AppDyanamics, Selenium, Cloud Technologies (PCF/Azure), and MongoDB


 

The pay range for this position in Charlotte NC is between $111,100 to $197,500
