Position Summary:

The Generator Winder is responsible for the inspection, repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical components relating to the generator stator and rotor windings. All applicants must have a strong knowledge of rotating equipment and have the ability to locate and solve problems.
Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Generator Specialist or Lead Winder with testing and inspection scopes- Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Repair, replace, install, and maintain all electrical and mechanical components associated with the generator, stator and rotor windings
- Take responsibility for the cleanliness of the work area at customer sites.
- Perform all tasks in conjunction with all applicable health and safety procedures and policies
- Able to take direction from the Generator Specialist and or Lead Winder
- Have the applicable qualifications and training to work in potential hazardous environments including, asbestos, lead and chemicals
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a winder or in a similar mechanical role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- OSHA 10
- Able to pass a drug screening;
