Civil Estimator

Trillium Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator for our client in Statesville, NC.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of field experience, particularly in heavy civil projects, road widening, and utilities relocation. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for our projects, ensuring all aspects of the work are accounted for and priced correctly.
Responsibilities:
-Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
-Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes.
-Prepare and present comprehensive bid proposals.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals.
-Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings as necessary.
-Monitor and update cost databases and estimation tools.
-Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
-Provide ongoing support to project teams during project execution to ensure costs align with estimates.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
-Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
-In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
-Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
-7-10 years of field experience in heavy civil construction, including road widening and utilities relocation.
-Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates.
-Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
-Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
-Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
