Role Summary:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Assembler I is responsible for assembling and wiring non-energized, high-speed auxiliary relay panels in accordance with panel assembly & arrangement drawings and point-to-point wiring diagrams
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Assembler I position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements
- Assemble and wire devices in accordance with work instructions, physical drawings, wiring diagrams and bill of materials
- Achieve and maintain minimum productivity rate as defined by management
- Use hand tools to drill, tap, crimp terminal lugs, cut and strip wire and install equipment with screwdrivers, wrenches and sockets
- Confer with supervisor and engineers to review work activities and/or resolve production problems

- Work Experience: Entry Level
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Analytics: Ability to read and understand point-to-point wiring diagrams and wire lists; basic math and reasoning skills
- Organization Skills: Excellent work ethic, good verbal, and communication skills; ability to work independently.
- Cross-functional skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of a Production Manager
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization, know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects

- Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand/walk/lift, pull, and push during entire work shift
- Ability to handle and manipulate small components in an assembly process
- Physical Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperature conditions and noise levels prevalent in a production environment. Work conditions at customer sites, which may be actively under construction, vary from indoor to outdoor industrial & electric utility facilities that may have high voltage equipment.
- Travel: Ability to travel to and occasionally work at customer sites
- Schedule: Ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule, including overtime, as required
Qualifications we prefer but don't require:
- Work Experience: Experience assembling and wiring electrical panels; basic skills in soldering and assembling electro-mechanical devices
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)
