The Senior Material Handling Associate will be responsible for all shipping, material movement and receiving duties, including inventory management. This position has a direct impact on both internal and external customers, affecting Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality goals of the division. The job requires regular internal communication with teams across the organization, including Sales Administration, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Material handling and Planning.

  • Pull and pack product orders with accuracy, checking lot numbers, package weights and preparing carrier documentation
  • Receive and process products from manufacturing or suppliers, ensuring parts are properly identified and labeled
  • Stock product after approval for use in a way that guarantees 5S, inventory accuracy, and safety
  • Count physical inventory of all raw materials and finished goods in the warehouses and coolers
  • Process all required paperwork to ensure material transactions occur for all departmental activities
  • Maintain warehouse and work areas following 5S principles and participate in 5S audits as needed
  • Follow all departmental and company safety policies, including maintaining warehouse and work areas following 5S principles
  • Work with Associate Team Leaders and Team Leaders to ensure compliance with all cGMP, ISO, and FDA guidelines for warehouse activities
  • May drive truck for material transport of product from one location to another
  • Provide training to others within the department
  • Identify areas needing improvement within the department to help maximize accuracy, minimize errors, and increase inventory accuracy of all parts processed

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in a shipping and/or receiving environment and/or data entry experience
  • Proficient in the use of computers to enter and retrieve data
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others
  • Experience with safe and efficient use of material handling equipment like a floor jack, hand truck, order picker, and forklift is preferred
  • Truck driving experience is preferred
