Looking for Labor & Delivery RN with minimum 2 year of experience

CA active license, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring and BLS Certification required

  • Provide direct quality care to patients including daily monitoring, recording, and evaluating of medical conditions
  • Provides professional and courteous care to patients?
  • Act as an informational resource to parents while monitoring neonatal vitals to ensure the mother isn't experiencing postpartum complications and to make sure their patients are leaving their care as confident as possible
  • Interact and communicate with patients of all ages and ethnic backgrounds, giving quality medical care and treatment
  • Collaborate with the health care team - physicians, respiratory technicians, ICU nurses, case managers, pharmacist, CNA's
  • Establish and maintains an efficient, cost-effective care management process by determining patient financial and medical eligibility, medical necessities, and by developing, implementing, and monitoring individual patient plans of care
  • Serve as a mentor for both rotating students and new unit staff, providing training and guidance on nursing best practices within unit with 30+ patients
  • Make outbound calls and take inbound calls to assess patient's current health status
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Labor & Delivery experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license
  • One year of Epic experience
  • NRP and PALS Certification
  • Fetal monitoring certification

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
