More simply put, we make the brands you love JOB OVERVIEW Primary responsibility is to assist and back up the management team of the sanitation department in the cleaning and sanitation functions of the manufacturing plant, equipment, outside grounds, office areas, restrooms, cafeteria, locker rooms and overall facilities ensuring that they are in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Assist in coaching and guiding departmental team members in following of GMPs and plant safety rules and regulations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist supervisor in helping to monitor and coach proper GMP and Safety practices down to all team members. Assist with the helping of maintaining inventory levels of both chemicals and sanitation supplies. Possess the knowledge of all SOPs related to the sanitation department. Assist with the distribution of sanitation supplies and chemicals to team members. All leads are to work a six-day work week. Responsible for daily testing of sanitizer chemical at the dispensing point to assure it is within proper spec for use. Assure that all cleaning checklists and documentation are properly filled out prior to departing for the day at shift end. Report into work 30 minutes prior to shift to create a successful hand off from prior shift. Communicate any issues and or challenges to management/supervision. Assure that carboard, starch and trash disposal areas are neat, cleaned and organized by shift end. Partner with departmental supervision in the scheduling of both personnel and tasks to be completed. Assist with the training of all new employees. Have the ability to multi tasks Be able to work cross departmentally partnering with other departments to accomplish assignments Be positive and resolution driven while achieving desired results PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 15 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions. WORK ENVIRONMENT Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING High School education or equivalent is strongly preferred Able to think quickly and multitask Basic math and computer skills are preferred Willing to be trained Ability to read, speak, and write English is required PIM Brands is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
