Description The primary duty of a blender/compounder is to gather raw materials and/or weighed out ingredients from the weighing department according to specifications for the processing of finished products. The blender/compounder will report directly to the Compounding Manager or Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Identifies & gathers raw materials and/or weighed out ingredients according to batch records
Blend/compound raw materials/ingredients according to specifications
Record/document batch records accurately
Identify allergens to avoid cross-contamination
Set up and clean blender/machine/equipment according to procedures.
Requirements
Quality, following procedures, adhering to and filling out production records. Follows SOPs and product specification sheets. Insuring finished product meets or exceeds total packaging specifications and total output.
Able to perform repetitive tasks.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to operate scales.
Able to read and follow directions accurately.
Able to record data on specified forms.
Able to learn and operate machines.
Adhere to cGMP/SOPs guidelines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments (i.e. general office, industrial complexes, food processing plants, semiconductor labs, clean rooms, etc., some of which can be hazardous). Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
