Position: Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Experience Required:
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in pediatric post-anesthesia care and pre-testing.
Work Schedule:
  • Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a varying day off.
  • No weekends, no holidays.
  • Shifts are variable.
  • No on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in the post-anesthesia care unit.
  • Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia and surgery.
  • Conduct pre-testing assessments to ensure patient readiness for surgery.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid RN license in Washington, D.C.
  • 2-3 years of experience in pediatric post-anesthesia care and pre-testing.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.


Compensation: $70.00 per hour
