Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Broadcast Site Reliability Engineer (BSRE) to join our team to maintain the reliability and performance of our satellite and streaming channels.  A BSRE will bridge the gap between IT and broadcast operations by taking on operational tasks and responsibilities typically handled by operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use the monitoring systems (for alerting and dashboards) for local, national, and international channels

  • Perform system and web-server administration, writing scripts, engaging in network protocols, and conducting remote administration of servers and network devices

  • Perform support activities to restore channel outages or remove channels due to contractual expiration
  • Document and disseminate provider-initiated maintenance activities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during engineering activities
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, and near-misses promptly
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members, including following industry-specific safety regulations
