Job Posting: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – County Jail Job ID: 142342 Overview: We are seeking two dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a 12-week contract position to cover maternity leave. This role involves providing essential nursing care in a county jail setting, offering a unique opportunity for LPNs looking to expand their experience in a challenging environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians in a county jail setting. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical history. Assist in patient education and support. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to facility protocols. Qualifications: Active LPN license in the state of Ohio. Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts during the week (Monday-Thursday) from 6 AM to 6 PM OR 2 PM to 2 AM. 10-hour shifts on weekends (Friday-Sunday) from 6 AM to 2 PM OR 2 PM to 10 PM. Schedules will rotate on a two-week basis. Example Schedule: Week 1: Sunday: 6 AM - 2 PM / 2 PM - 10 PM OFF: Monday/Tuesday Wednesday/Thursday: 6 AM - 6 PM / 2 PM - 2 AM OFF: Friday/Saturday Week 2: OFF: Sunday Monday/Tuesday: 6 AM - 6 PM / 2 PM - 2 AM OFF: Wednesday/Thursday Friday/Saturday: 6 AM - 2 PM / 2 PM - 10 PM Benefits: Competitive pay.
