Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Medical Surgical

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (05:00 - 17:30)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of 18 months required; please refer to job description for any exceptions

License: For start dates 2-4 weeks out, must have an Indiana or compact license in hand. For start dates 4+ weeks out, must have started the Indiana/compact licensing process.

Certifications: Indicate certifications based on unit requirements

Must-Have: Willingness to take charge when asked

Job Description:
- Travel nurses are required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
- Staffing ratios are 1:5/6.
- Orientation consists of 12 hours.
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
- Flu vaccine requirement is unknown.
- University of the traveler's graduation must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
- Travelers cannot be local residents for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions.
- 2 supervisor references are required.
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Must be open to working with diverse teams and in various hospital settings.

Additional Notes:
- Any former permanent or PRN employees must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler.
- Candidates are expected to comply with background policy requirements.
