CloudFit is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database management, ETL processes, data warehousing, and migrating databases from on-premises to cloud environments. This role requires a deep understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques to ensure the highest level of database performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage robust database solutions
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration
  • Architect and optimize data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics
  • Lead database migration projects from on-premises to cloud platforms
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of database systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database engineers
What makes you the perfect fit for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in database management and administration
  • Expertise in ETL processes and data warehousing
  • Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
  • Proficiency in MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL databases
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Some nice haves (but not required):
  • Experience with additional database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or Redis
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $175,000 + benefits, & perks.

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate's final level and location. Also, the range represents salary only and does not include our total rewards package.

Current Federal Security Clearance or ability to obtain (US Citizenship required)
