We are a reputable medical practice specializing in evaluations for patients with swallowing disorders and are actively seeking additional physicians to join our team. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, welcoming applicants with varying levels of experience. Physicians will receive compensation during their training period.

Our practice is part of a connected network with sister locations across New England and Texas. Since its inception in Houston in March 2005, Professional Imaging has expanded throughout eastern Texas. We typically manage a monthly patient census of around 2,300, supported by a dedicated staff of 70, including physicians, speech language pathologists, and additional support personnel.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual income for a 4 to 5-day work week ranges from approximately $160,000 to $225,000 or more, depending on patient volume.
  • Comprehensive health insurance, a 401k retirement plan, and educational stipends are provided.
  • No weekend or night call duties required.
  • Malpractice insurance, including tail coverage, is fully covered by the practice.

In nearly 400,000 evaluations conducted over 19 years, we have not encountered a single malpractice inquiry or action.

Midwest Dysphagia Consultants is committed to delivering professional dysphagia consultations, including modified barium swallow studies for patients experiencing swallowing difficulties. Our consultations are efficiently provided through a mobile unit to various facilities, private offices, and even homebound patients.

Requests for swallowing studies are typically scheduled within 24 to 72 hours, with many being accommodated on the same day depending on daily volume and location. Our objective is to ensure our staff can return home between 4:00 and 5:00 PM each day.
