Summary Bi-weekly review of applicants Performs daily housekeeping duties which includes dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming and/or sweeping, cleaning/sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen area, trash removal, making beds and removing/changing bedding, restocking of amenities, bed and bath linens and other supplies, checking condition of room assets and reporting problems to supervisor and responding to guest requests. Responsibilities Bi-weekly review of applicants Interacts professionally with guests and other team members, displays a positive attitude, utilizes effective communication skills, and assists guests to include answering questions concerning hotel facilities and provides information about on base and local attractions. Provides assistance in handling customer complaints. Performs deep cleaning as required to include defrosting refrigerator, cleaning windows, replacing/cleaning of drapes, carpet shampooing or cleaning. Performs varying degrees of complexity in cleaning processes for facility to include but not limited to lodging units, common areas, office, bathhouse, laundry facility, etc. Demonstrates proficiency related to daily service, checkout, deep cleaning, and special project cleaning assignments based on program cleaning standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to weather elements during attendance at outdoor events. Incumbent must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility. Must possess and maintain a current state driver's license. May occasionally travel away from the normal duty station. May occasionally work overtime Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in controlling heavy equipment, carrying and setting up and working from ladders and scaffolds. Constantly standing or walking; frequently lifting or moving objects from 30 to 50 pounds. Qualifications Knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and approved cleaning chemicals, including familiarity with applicable Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Ability to utilize Property Management System (PMS) and/or Point of Sale (POS) system software to update room status using the in-room telephone system. Ability to safely and properly use common hand and power tools. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing with management, staff and guests. Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required. This position involves work on workdays and may involve weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts. Lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds May be required to possess valid driver's license as travel to other facilities within normal scope of duties may be required. Physical exertion is involved in standing and walking for long periods, some bending, stooping and lifting is required. Education Additional Information Bi-weekly review of applicants Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements.
