Overview

Loma de Vida Spa & Wellness is a secluded sanctuary immersed in nature and situated on one of the highest points in San Antonio with breathtaking views of the Texas sky. The spa invokes the spirit of the Hill Country and Texas to inspire traditional spa offerings (massages, facials), signature experiences indigenous to the area, and results-orientated services integrating technology and nature to create a true sense of balanced well-being.

As a Make-Up Specialist at Loma de Vida, you will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will provide a variety of touch modalities for our guests as listed in the Spa Menu. By using outstanding guest service, you will also suggest products and services to meet the individual needs of each guest. As a Bridal / Event Make-Up Specialist at Loma de Vida, you will exemplify La Cantera Resort and Spa culture while working to always provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide individualized trial bridal make-up, wedding day make-up, and special event make-up to our guests.
  • Provide comprehensive consultations and trial services to ensure a complete understanding of the bride or event attendee's vision for their make-up and photos.
  • Work well under pressure and work efficiently while engaging the guest in happy conversation.
  • Work to ensure guests are satisfied so that they will have beautiful photos and memories of life and that their make-up will last through their event.
  • Be creative and artistic and have a strong eye for detail.
  • Enthusiastically welcome our guests, anticipate their needs, respond promptly with spirit, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Create memorable experiences with a warm, welcoming personality that can relate to guests and associates.
  • Utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
  • Passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home.
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests' needs are being met.
  • Enjoy multitasking at a fast pace while having an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitization.
  • Comfortable in a team environment and able to receive constructive feedback.
Qualifications
  • High school education required.
  • At least one year of Salon experience preferred.
  • At least one year of Hospitality experience preferred.
  • At least one year of luxury Spa experience preferred.
  • At least one year of customer service experience is required.
  • Current state cosmetology license required.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cosmetology trends and skills.
  • Previous wedding party experience a plus.
