Litigation Paralegal Location: Albuquerque, NM Job Type: 6-week temp-to-hire Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal with experience in civil litigation and trial preparation, specifically within State Court. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in Adobe software, and familiarity with ProLaw for case management. Experience with both State and Federal Court filing is essential, with an emphasis on State Court procedures. Key Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings, including drafting and filing legal documents. Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support cases. File documents with State and Federal Courts, prioritizing State Court filings. Utilize ProLaw software for case management and documentation tracking. Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as needed. Prepare trial exhibits and assist with trial preparation logistics. Maintain an organized system for tracking deadlines and court dates. Qualifications: Previous experience as a paralegal, with a focus on civil litigation and trial experience. Proficient in Adobe software and experienced with ProLaw or similar legal management software. Strong understanding of State and Federal Court filing procedures, with an emphasis on State Court. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
