License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (AHA or ARC)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA or ARC)
Must-Have:
- Nursing Diploma or an ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
Job Description:
- Participate in identifying and meeting personal learning needs and attending educational programs.
- Use patient education materials relevant to the patient population and assess readiness to learn.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance for revising care plans when needed.
- Engage with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and communicate relevant patient care information.
- Demonstrate competence in the care of patients with complex issues and perform bedside testing as required.
- Organize, prioritize, and deliver care according to patient and family needs.
- Consult with appropriate resources for complex care issues or high-risk discharge planning.
- Develop goals for personal professional growth and participate in unit performance improvements.
- Use communication systems effectively and promote cost-effective care.
- Enhance a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
- Recognize and prioritize care from complex assessment data and anticipate discharge needs.
- Collaborate with patients and families to update care plans, addressing cultural and ethnic considerations.
- Utilize available multidisciplinary resources and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks for complex problems.
- Stay informed by reading relevant journals and sharing applicable ideas with the team.
