We are seeking a Process Engineer intern at our Kaukauna, Wisconsin plant for the summer of 2025. This individual will aid in the day-to-day troubleshooting or process/reliability problems and execution of maintenance activities in a paper manufacturing environment. We offer the opportunity to work in an engaged, team-focused environment while building related skills and experience for your future.

Pay Rate - $25/hour

Requirements
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Enrolled in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program
  • Living in or willing to relocate to the Kaukauna, Wisconsin area from June - December 2025
  • Ability to work full-time for the duration of the position
  • Strong desire to work within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong technical aptitude and proven problem solving abilities
Responsibilities
  • Must follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position's area of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the sfaety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
  • Review, develop and implement preentative and predicitive maintenance processes to reduce unplanned downtime and increase overall asset efficiency
  • Work with plant teams and maintenance personnel in identifying and planning daily, weekly and shutdown work
  • Assist with multiple capital and maintenance projects
  • Initiate and facilitate continuous improvement projects within the maintenance area
  • Investigate mainteance needs as required to support operations
  • Support maintenance craftsmen with their day to day tasks
  • Work with Suppliers ordering equipment and parts
  • Document equipment specifications and history
  • Provide maintenance coverage for start-ups from outages
  • Assist craftsmen in performing repairs when necessary
