Position Summary: Responsible for completing all MDS Medicare forms in a manner designed to capture all appropriate reimbursement. Prescreens prospective patients/residents clinically for the RCF. Understands and adheres to GCMC’s compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policy. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and GCMC regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. Education, License & Cert: NYS Licensed Registered Nurse Experience: Three years’ experience in a Long Term Care setting preferred. Experience and proficiency with completing the MDS required. Other Duties: Checks the census (admissions and discharges) on a daily basis Develops the schedule of Medicare MDS assessments to maximize Medicare reimbursement and to meet regulatory requirements. Oversees all required documentation necessary for completion of Medicare MDS forms. Demonstrates working knowledge and understanding of emergency preparedness plans and operations within the nursing facility. Infection Control‐Provide safe and effective resident care in accordance with Infection Control policies and procedures The Pay Rate for this position is $31.00 - $43.03 based on experience.
