Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Commercial PMO

Job Location: Partial Onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, additional days as required by project deliverables)

Team Name: VDS (Commercial PMO)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our VDS (Commercial PMO) team. This leadership role requires managing multiple projects within a strong matrix environment, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of IT projects, driving efficient communication, resource management, and risk mitigation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple projects (1-5) simultaneously in a matrix environment, utilizing SDLC methodologies.
  • Develop, monitor, and update project plans, communication plans, risk management plans, and project artifacts throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards.
  • Facilitate daily communications across project teams, including meetings, correspondence, status reports, and other project artifacts.
  • Monitor resource requirements and deliverables based on project specifications, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, making adjustments as needed to meet project objectives.
  • Identify and manage risks, tasks, and issues impacting scope, budget, or resources to ensure project delivery as planned.
  • Provide regular written and verbal updates on project status to key stakeholders.
  • Leverage IT SDLC knowledge to effectively guide project teams through the full project lifecycle.
Required Education & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelors degree, OR 4 years of job-related work experience, OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associates degree in any major.
  • Experience: 5 years of IT experience in a leadership capacity, including at least 2 years of experience leading multiple concurrent project teams. Completion of the Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience.
Preferred Certifications:
  • PMP Certification
Required Skills & Technologies:
  • Proficiency with Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint Online, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong experience with managing and leading IT projects within SDLC methodologies.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Azure Boards, Project Management software
Work Schedule:
  • 5 days per week (partial onsite, Tuesday-Thursday with additional days as needed)
Team Structure:
  • The Senior Project Manager will report to a Portfolio Manager and work with a team of 8-10 Project Managers. Most project teams will consist of 8-20 team members, supporting portfolios including Data Exchange, Telephony, Mobile/Full Site, and AEM.
