Busy optometry practice is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Optometric Technician. This is a part-time/full-time position (32-38 hours a week) and both offices use EHR. Duties include but are not limited to: pre-test patients and prepare records for optometrist. May receive and screen telephone calls from patients and medical personnel, make appointments in accordance with scheduled template and necessity, perform tests and follow up calls pertaining to results. The optometric technician capitalizes on an outgoing personality, optimism and the ability to develop rapport with patients. The position must be a self starter with excellent time managements and organizational skills to offer prompt, accurate and reliable service. Other essential requirements include experience as an Optometric Technician, the ability to work independently, work well with other staff members, to be accountable and a sense of professionalism.

Will train the ideal candidate. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a definite plus. The office has two locations in Highland and East Chicago, IN. Candidates must be able to travel between both offices. The offices are open Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings.
