Skyline Veterinary Specialists & Emergency, a BluePearl Veterinary Partner, is hiring an extraordinary Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience, licensure and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system .

As a Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician , you will:

  • Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.

  • Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during nursing rounds.

  • Calculate basic medical math.

  • Understand classification of commonly-used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.

  • Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.

  • Perform phlebotomy

  • Triage and obtain patient history

  • Assist clinician with diagnostic procedures

  • Patient care including treatments

  • Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
