Location: Maris Grove by Erickson Senior Living Join us as a Senior Program Assistant to enhance the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being of residents in Continuing Care (skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care). In this role, you will collaborate with the Programming team to assess needs and provide tailored therapeutic and recreational activities. Compensation: $17.00 an hour to start What we offer A culture of diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging, which builds on our mission, vision and values Medical, dental and vision packages, including an annual reimbursement for qualified wellness expenses, personal health coaching and telemedicine options PTO Plans, PLUS company paid volunteer hours for eligible team members, in accordance with applicable state law 401k for all team members 18 and over with a company 3% match Onsite medical centers, providing wellness visits and sick care for all team members over 18 years of age 30% discount on food and drinks at on-site dining venues, plus additional healthy choice meal options at discounted prices Education assistance, certification reimbursement and access to over 6,000 courses through our online learning library, designed to enhance your current skills and build new ones Growth Opportunities – grow with the company as we open new communities and expand on our existing ones How you will make an impact Assess the resident’s needs/desires related to purposeful engagement and provide therapeutic and recreational activities to meet the daily needs and interests of the residents Design, planning and facilitating various structured and impromptu programs to individuals and groups in the common areas and resident rooms Ensure the safety of the residents on group trips and excursions Work with other team members, management, volunteers, and families to deliver programs and activities designed to enhance the resident experience Monitor changes in the resident’s needs, abilities and preferences to provide programs and activities appropriate for individual and group audiences Maintain proper documentation including daily attendance sheets, quarterly progress notes, assessment forms, service plans/care plans and contributes to the MDS as needed Participate in team discussions regarding resident programming, monthly calendars, activity and staff scheduling, and resident issues What you will need Minimum of 3 years working as an Activities/Recreation Assistant in a licensed health care community or a minimum of 2 years as an ESL Programming Assistant is required Experience leading groups of people with varying levels of physical and cognitive independence is preferred Flexible work schedule including weekend and evenings as appropriate is required Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable.
