A day as a Driver:

  • Transportation of meals, meal carts, and any equipment needed between our main facilities, third party vendors, and LAX airport
  • Load/unload aircraft according to airline regulations, specifications and equipment handling
  • Ensure flights are always catered correctly
  • Cater to DO&CO's client's airlines and handle airlines equipment expeditiously and safely
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook
  • Comply with all LAX, CBP, DOT and all other applicable rules/regulations
  • Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including fueling and pre/post checks) and report any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Who you are:
  • Have 1 to 3 years of experience as a CDL Driver
  • Have a valid commercial driving license type A or B
  • Able to obtain a LAWA Airport ID with a Drivers Icon and CBP Icon
  • Able to manage through a substantial workload
  • Able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds
  • Able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet
  • Regularly stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
  • Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines
  • Flexibility (able to work different shifts -days, nights, weekends, holidays)
