A healthcare organization in New York City is looking to add a new Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and/or licensed Psychologist to join their team in Queens.

Responsibilities:

The Social Worker / Psychologist will:

  • Perform mental health assessments for patients to ascertain their diagnoses and establish treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy
  • Provide crisis intervention and/or counseling to diffuse conflicts among patients
  • Complete medical forms and documentation related to patient care
  • Make and/or track all referrals to other mental health agencies and providers
  • Work collaboratively with specialists for consultation and referral purposes
  • Maintain confidential case files, including documenting requests for confidential information
  • Follow the clinical chart review policies and procedures
  • Provide workshops for families on communication and other family-related issues
  • Coordinate emergency responses
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Unrestricted NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and/or Psychologist license
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) systems
Desired Skills:
  • Master's Degree
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Prior experience with Substance Abuse issues
  • Working knowledge of eClinicalWorks
