Responsibilities:

• Responsible for generating a daily/weekly production schedule that balances manufacturing capacity, operating efficiencies, and inventory levels based on a collaborative Sales, Inventory and Operations Plan
• Conduct daily MRP runs and issue jobs for manufacturing assembly lines
• Create, update and maintain schedules and work with production to meet customer demand and production targets while optimizing resource utilization.
• Work with Purchasing team to escalate material shortages and assist with developing appropriate corrective actions.
• Communicate scheduling conflicts with stakeholders and quickly resolve them as they arise.
• Coordinate parts within plant and escalate shortages.
• Provide order status updates for released jobs to customers service teams.
• Lead Kaizens and continuous improvement projects to improve planning processes.
• Work with Production/Supply Chain teams to anticipate potential bottlenecks, disruptions, or quality issues and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact on production schedules.
• Daily respond to email expedites or cancellations.
• Generate regular reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production planning and adherence to production schedules.

Requirements

• BS/BA is preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related technical field or an equivalent of 7+ years of production planning / scheduling experience from a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years related experience in production scheduling, planning, MRP role; prefer experience within a metals, machining, casting, CNC, assembly or related environment
• Self-managed, self-directed with strong planning and inventory management skills
• Well versed in planning methodologies such as: Kanban, MRP, Min/Max, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), routing and related
• Must have experience with MRP or ERP and MS Excel preferred
