ARFA Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with development and operations teams to support and streamline their workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, configure, and optimize Linux servers in a production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux systems and applications.
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or other scripting languages.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for Linux servers.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and performance tuning.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Document configurations, processes, and procedures related to Linux administration.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Linux and open-source software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux Engineer or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
  • Hands-on experience with server configuration and management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
