For nearly 60 years, our client Allied Litho has been a Midwest leader for high quality standard and large-format lithography. They are looking for a Foreman to directly supervises the entire shift and is totally responsible for quality and production during his shift.

Job Duties

    • Effective direction and control of employee working under him.
    • Ensure that all safety rules and practices are followed by all employed under his direction.
    • Assure that proper materials are used on jobs and that all required materials are at press.
    • Adjust and maintain color and register
    • Maintain a high standard of quality and productivity
    • Make sure that you are making Quality pulls
    • Preventative maintenance on press.
    • Responsible for correct lubrication of press
    • Keep accurate records of all press operations (job tickets, maintenance, etc.)
    • Responsible for keeping all press adjustments within tolerance, blanket & plate packing, ink rollers, etc.
    • Relay all maintenance problems to shift supervisor and fill out maintenance requests.
    • Ensure that all incurred problems or adjustments to oncoming shift.
    • Responsible for effective training of his crew.
    • Responsible for the cleanliness of his assigned area and for accurate press counts.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Ability to read, write, and figure general math problems. High School diploma or equivalent GED required. Prefer 5 years' experience as head pressman or equivalent related experience. Must have good mechanical aptitude.

LANGUGE SKILLS: Needs good command of English language, for effective communication with press crew and foreman.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have good math skills; add, subtract, multiply, and divide and be able to solve general math problems.

REASONING ABILITY: Must possess good common sense in problem solving, as problems occur.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must fully understand the process of lithography. Ability to reach and motivate your crew members.

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Clear vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, must not have color vision impairment. Must be able to walk or stand for entire shift. Must use fingers and hand to handle or feel. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Reach with hands and arms. Able to lift and move 60 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near mechanical moving parts, and a Solvent Fume Environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud; however, ear protection is provided.
