Washington, DC - Kaimetrix, L.L.C. is seeking a professional Senior SQL Database Developer - SME to support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) in Washington, DC.

Senior SQL Database Developer – SME Responsibilities

  • Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of Application programming activities, including estimation of effort based on requirements, mock-up and prototype design performing testing, and the creating of supporting documentation to include commenting code.
  • Work with stakeholders during all phases of the development lifecycle to identify problems, fix coding errors, and implement requested changes in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct routine, on-going communications with the Customer. This will include participating in regularly scheduled meetings (in person or by telephone) to provide updates on work in progress, discussing and resolving identified issues, and other matters which may arise during the period of performance.
  • The developer will be the database technical point of contact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience using C# and Microsoft Business Intelligence platform and be up to date on the standards.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding and experience with data flow from corresponding sources to destinations and repositories. This includes data transformations and changes to data across SQL Server data warehouses, SSIS packages, SSRS interfaces, SSAS models.
  • Experience with creating, troubleshooting and managing SSIS packages and SSAS models.
  • Strong T-SQL development experience is a must.
  • Experience using bulk insert tasks to upload large amounts of data from flat files into SQL Server.
  • Experience working on SQL Server upgrade projects and migration to Azure Cloud preferred.
  • Experience creating and managing SSRS Reports and Power BI dashboards.
  • Knowledge of GitLab and SharePoint would be a plus
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a government background check.
  • Prior experience working on any federal government acquisition systems such as Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) highly desired
