Job Summary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, elimination of unnecessary waste and variation, consistency in compliance with all regulatory standards and quality initiatives, and assurance of minimum training standards, performance standards, and key operational performance indicators. Also included is oversight of Capital Equipment in related areas. Provides guidance and administrative support for related operations across the System, including strategic feedback to align the business structure of assigned areas to optimize system-wide financial/operational metrics and results. Serves as a partner with operational and service line executives, directors, and managers for related opportunities. Meets regularly with professional directors or others associated with related services to coordinate and plan future activities. In addition, assists in oversight of related purchasing and will meet as necessary with vendors regarding equipment or supplies according to specifications. Acts as a liaison for related services with outside entities as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Monitors and helps develop enterprise-wide budget, including processes to monitor operational and capital costs.

  • Assesses and improves the performance of related services by designing operational processes, using Lean and CAP tools, monitoring performance through data, analyzing the data, implementing sustainable performance improvement, and participating in multi-disciplinary, inter-departmental PI activities.

  • Works in collaboration with leaders on initiatives related to patient and guest experience and elimination of unnecessary waste and variation.

  • Models and owns Evidence-Based Leadership principles and best practices to drive outcomes throughout the system.

  • Ensures consistent achievement of 90 day and 1-year targets in alignment with 3-year goals by implementing best practices in business and patient care.

  • Fosters collaboration between entity Office of Community Health leaders to ensure consistency in care delivery models across the system.

  • Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs for system-wide Community Services operations.

  • Provides leadership to the organization by creating and maintaining an environment that attracts, retains, and motivates a high-performing workforce.

  • Leads standardization, systemization, and performance improvement initiatives for Community Services across the system including mobile services for the Midlands and Upstate.

  • Provides oversight of community wide programs and services.

  • Leads other projects and special assignments as deemed necessary by Chief Community Health Services Officer.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
  • Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study.

  • Experience - Five (5) years management in hospital setting.
