Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary:
The Clinical Quality Leader is a Master's-prepared Registered Nurse who plays a vital role within the Quality Department, focusing on enhancing clinical outcomes, particularly in stroke and sepsis care. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, this leader ensures care quality in alignment with our hospital's mission and vision.
- Exercise exceptional leadership and communication skills to develop reliable care systems and maintain accountability over patient care outcomes.
- Implement quality improvement practices and utilize methodologies to sustain progress.
- Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data for evaluating care priorities and outcomes, comparing them to relevant benchmarks.
- Foster a professional nursing environment emphasizing accountability, effective communication, and proactive error reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards set by The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory bodies.
- Oversee readiness for accreditation and drive compliance across all clinical departments.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Preferred certifications: Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required or to be obtained within 18 months of hire.
- Experience with Performance Improvement Tools and understanding of data analysis is essential.
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission/CMS quality measures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn facility data collection software.
- A minimum of three years of experience in nursing, quality improvement, or hospital analytics is required.
