Logistics Associate III

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is based in Pensacola and responsible for daily coordination and planning of warehouse operations, export and domestic freight coordination.

TARGETED OUTCOMES
  • Drive improvement of warehouse loading efficiency by dock scheduling. 50 % target live load.
  • Batch all domestic loads 2 days in advance export up to 20 to all early turn in.
  • Drive improvement of warehousing planning by maintaining focus on exit port early turn in for finished goods to reduce inventory and storage costs. Target 12 days.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This role requires constant contact with Plant Distribution Personnel, External Warehouses, Central Dispatch and Quality Control Use/develop tools for tracking shipment schedules and maintain/monitoring key metrics. 8D and other tools to be used as required.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Manage warehouse dock schedule with the dock coordinators, container loading efficiency and use, setup SAP orders and intercompany transfers to utilize free time and goods issue with 24 hours.
  • Printing labels and other needs for special customer requirements as needed working the dock coordinator.
  • Continual monitoring of processes and SAP screens (VL10g, VlL06O, YM22, are required to recognize revenue, alert potential issues and to drive improvement.
  • Act as on call for support or issues as they arise and develop.
  • Report issues using SAP and Microsoft Office. Daily work requires scheduling, planning, receiving goods and goods issuing on time. These are critical function required for successful operations.
  • Support operations in troubleshooting loading issues, SAP issues and other follow-up action as required.
  • Cross train to accomplish department and company objectives.
  • Must understand IRA, OTD and their impacts to the supply chain organization.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse cross-functional group and interact with individuals from within the company and external customers/vendors
  • Excellent technical, troubleshooting, auditing, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in achieving performance goals
  • Action and detail oriented with an inclination towards taking initiative
TEAM
  • Reports to: Warehouse/Distribution Lead
  • Team Members: Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Quality, Customer Service and Logistics Execution
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 2- 5 years equivalent experience in warehouse/logistics experience
  • High School Diploma / GED SAP experience required in IM, WM, SD & MM modules.
  • Troubleshooting shipments includes knowledge of functions in these modules.
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • SAP experience required in IM, WM, SD & MM modules. Troubleshooting shipments includes knowledge of functions in these modules.
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent technical, troubleshooting, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Action oriented with an inclination towards taking initiative.
